AIMS

AIMS, the Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS), is a non-profit trade alliance that promotes the open standards that broadcast and media companies use to move from legacy SDI systems to a virtualized, IP-based future—quickly and profitably.

AIMS brings broadcasters, technology vendors and industry standards organizations together to eliminate fragmentation and maximize hardware and software interoperability through a comprehensive, ubiquitous set of IP broadcast standards. Validated and tested by broadcast and equipment suppliers, AIMS’ guidance delivers a practical upgrade path from SDI to IP, as well as to future technologies such as cloud-based production and distribution.

AVNU

AVnu Alliance members include more than 95% of the Ethernet silicon suppliers in the market, leading players in the networking infrastructure space, household names from the automotive industry and prominent firms in audio-visual markets.

AVnu Alliance facilitates a new certified networking ecosystem and simplifies network synchronization for engineers through Audio Video Bridging (AVB) and Time Synchronized Networking (TSN) standards, built into Ethernet, not around it; solving major technical and performance issues such as: precise timing and real-time synchronization, bandwidth reservation, and traffic shaping all while reducing the total cost of ownership by minimizing deployment and maintenance time.

MNA

With the ever-increasing pace of adoption of IP based networking in AV, there is a mounting lobby for standardization and interoperability based on open standards. Consequently, the Media Networking Alliance (MNA) – the professional AV industry alliance, charged with promoting awareness and adoption of AES67, the open standard that provides for the common interchange of digital media between different IP networking platforms.

AMWA

The Advanced Media Workflow Association, Inc. (AMWA) began in January 2000 as the Advanced Authoring Format (AAF) Association, Inc. The organization's name was officially changed in May 2007 to better reflect the direction and scope of the association and its mission statement. With representatives from several major players in the global media and entertainment industry, the AMWA focuses on file-based workflows to benefit content creators including film, television, advertising, Internet and post-production professionals.

The AMWA continues its support of the Advanced Authoring Format (AAF), developed to enable content creators to easily exchange digital media and metadata across platforms.

The organization maintains open membership and committee participation.
