About Riedel Communications

Riedel Communications is a leading provider of live production tools in the worlds of media, sports and entertainment. Our hard- and software solutions span from distributed video and audio networks over intercom and replay solutions to WAN and MPLS applications. Thanks to our holistic approach, our three business units Product Division, Managed Technology Division and Networks Division can leverage powerful synergies to provide the infrastructures, tools and services for both fixed and temporary installations around the globe, enabling our customers to run even the most complex projects - on-site, remotely, or in the cloud. 

Founded in Wuppertal, Germany in 1987, Riedel today employs over 1000 people in 30 locations throughout Europe, Australia, Asia, and the Americas.

SMPTE

The Oscar® and Emmy® Award-winning Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers® (SMPTE®), a professional membership association, is a leader in the advancement of the art, science, and craft of the image, sound, and metadata ecosystem, worldwide. An internationally recognized and accredited organization, SMPTE advances moving-imagery education and engineering across the communications, technology, media, and entertainment industries. Since its founding in 1916, SMPTE has published the SMPTE Motion Imaging Journal and developed more than 800 standards, recommended practices, and engineering guidelines. 

MNA

With the ever-increasing pace of adoption of IP based networking in AV, there is a mounting lobby for standardization and interoperability based on open standards. Consequently, the Media Networking Alliance (MNA) – the professional AV industry alliance, charged with promoting awareness and adoption of AES67, the open standard that provides for the common interchange of digital media between different IP networking platforms.

AMWA

The Advanced Media Workflow Association, Inc. (AMWA) began in January 2000 as the Advanced Authoring Format (AAF) Association, Inc. The organization's name was officially changed in May 2007 to better reflect the direction and scope of the association and its mission statement. With representatives from several major players in the global media and entertainment industry, the AMWA focuses on file-based workflows to benefit content creators including film, television, advertising, Internet and post-production professionals.

The AMWA continues its support of the Advanced Authoring Format (AAF), developed to enable content creators to easily exchange digital media and metadata across platforms.

The organization maintains open membership and committee participation.

AVIXA

AVIXA™ is the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association, producer of InfoComm trade shows around the world, co-owner of Integrated Systems Europe, and the international trade association representing the audiovisual industry. Established in 1939, AVIXA has more than 5,400 members, including manufacturers, systems integrators, dealers and distributors, consultants, programmers, rental and staging companies, technology managers, IT professionals, content producers, and multimedia professionals from more than 80 countries. AVIXA members create integrated AV experiences that deliver outcomes. AVIXA is a hub for professional collaboration, information, and community, and the leading resource for AV standards, certification, training, market intelligence and thought leadership.

NAB

The National Association of Broadcasters is the voice for the nation's radio and television broadcasters. As the premier trade association for broadcasters, NAB advances the interests of our members in federal government, industry and public affairs; improves the quality and profitability of broadcasting; encourages content and technology innovation; and spotlights the important and unique ways stations serve their communities.

VSF

Video Services Forum, Inc. (VSF) was formed in 1997 to support uniform delivery of video services across the separate RBOC's after the Bellcore sponsored organization, the Video Services Industry Forum (VSIF) was disbanded. Today the VSF is an international association comprised of service providers, users and manufacturers dedicated to interoperability, quality metrics and education for video networking technologies.
