» We worked closely with Riedel again this year to ensure that we could bring off this immensely popular — and exceedingly complex — live production without a hitch. «

The Riedel network carried all video streams including the feeds for the commentary monitors and for displays and projectors in the Globe Arena. 36 Commentary booths for various countries were equipped with Riedel Artist digital matrix intercom commentary panels. Further event production aspects interlinked by Riedel were, among others, critical control points for sound, lighting, and pyrotechnics.
The TETRA radio system spanned all four venues and linked 300 radios (with headsets), while there were nearly 50 analogue radios in use. Production service provider NEP Sweden AB broadcasted the Eurovision Song Contest from its OB van HD 1 that is likewise equipped with Riedel’s MediorNet and Artist systems.
