General Manager Australia (m/f)

Your Responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility for sales and profit of our Australian sales unit
  • Implementation of sub-goals arising out of corporate planning for the sales unit Australia by executing specific, detailed measures
  • Leadership, continuous development and coaching of the team, particularly with regard to modern management, sales and marketing methods
  • Oversight of the Rental operations, particularly with regard to quality and lean management and logistics
  • Support of key accounts and conducting contract negotiations as well as generating new business by managing and developing current channels (broadcast & entertainment and corporate accounts) and new clients in related segments
  • Maintain intensive contacts with clients, suppliers and partners to identify long-term trends in demand and supply behaviour
  • Work closely with the other divisions and sales units to implement the findings from market and competitive analysis, in particular product management, development, production, marketing and project management

Your Profile:

  • Successfully completed (technical) university studies, e.g. in industrial engineering or a combination of business and technology
  • 5+ years of proven sales experience in a relevant market field, ideally in the broadcast and entertainment market, ideally with a personal network and knowledge in the Broadcast, IT or Event industry. Experience with commercial issues as well as in dealing with modern leadership methods is provided.
  • Knowledge of communication, audio and video technology as well as IT-based systems and their business models
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources, leadership methods, logistics, technical service and coordination of people and resources.
  • Personality is key – We are looking for a stable, entrepeneurial, sociable and outgoing personality with strong persuasion and able to interact and present at C-level
  • Team player with the ability to cross-domain thinking and to collaborate closely with other company functions
  • Mobility and willingness to extensive travel
  • Fluent English as a must-have with other languages (German or Asian Languages) as a plus
