New radio transceivers available at Riedel Rental Australia

Riedel Communications Australia just expanded its stock of available rental equipment. Several hundred additional Motorola GP338 radio transceivers are now available at the Rental department of Riedel Australia, which covers every need for intercom, radio and audio equipment in the Australian market.

The Australian Rental department expanded its stock by several hundred additional Motorola GP338 radio transceivers. The 128 channel unit is a versatile radio transceiver, that offers comprehensive features, that makes it the perfect solution for a wide range of applications.
Motorola's special voice compression and expansion technology enables crisper, clearer and stronger audio quality, making communication even in noisy environments possible. A dedicated signal strength indicator displays the transmission strength while 8 different ringtones and visual caller IDs allow to quickly identify the caller. In addition the transceiver can also be set up as a repeater for wide area coverage.
250 transceivers will be directly used for extensive installation at the Byron Bay Bluesfest 09. During the event, that is five days long and features over 100 bands and artists, the GP338s will be used in conjunction with Riedel MAX headsets. The onsite installation at the festival includes a small Riedel Artist intercom matrix system. Two mainframes, which are connected across the site via 500 meters of fiber allowing repeaters and simplex bases to be located, where they can be set up most effectively. Several Artist control panels are used to integrate the event manager, the site manager and several security controllers into the communications infrastructure.
