Riedel supplied the Ski World Cup of Kitzbuehel

What Monte Carlo is to Formula One, and Wimbledon is to tennis, the Kitzbuehler Hahnenkamm Race is to alpine skiing. Riedel Communications, one of the largest radio and intercom equipment rental organizations in the world, ensured a trouble free operation during the ski World Cup weekend. The Communications Specialist supplied over 200 radios and two radio repeaters to enable perfect communication for the AUDI VIP shuttle service as well as for WWP Weirather Wenzel & partner, DO & CO, and the members of the Red Bulletin magazine.

The Red Bulletin magazine – previously only available at Formula 1 races – published four issues for the Hahnenkamm races at the venue. Riedel provided a 2Mbit leased line for the editorship’s IT-connection. VoIP telephones provided a direct connection from the Red Bulletin truck to the main editorship as well as the main server in Vienna.
In addition to communications and data services Riedel utilized a digital Tandberg system with a 6-times deversity receiver for the video-link to the onboard cameras of the AirRace flight show. Riedel also supplied this system to the host broadcaster ORF for the transmission of the helicopter shots.
