New Riedel Products at IBC '09

Riedel Communications, one of the leading manufacturers of intercom, fiber and radio technology, presented several new products at this year's IBC in Amsterdam. Besides the Euro-Premier of the fiber based signal distribution network MediorNet, Riedel debuted the new RockNet RN.334.MD MADI module and the entry price level control panel series Artist 5000. Furthermore the hybrid TDM/IP solution Connect IPx2 and the latest version of the Artist control and configuration software Director 5.92 were presented to the European broadcast markets.

Riedel's MediorNet combines signal transport, routing, signal processing and conversion into one integrated real-time network solution. At the IBC Riedel presented new software features such as framestore, a RockNet and a MADI client card.

The RockNet RN.334.MD MADI module offers electrical and optical inputs and outputs supporting both the 56 and 64 channel MADI format. It allows the intelligent integration of third party digital mixing consoles audio router systems or recordings devices. The Artist 5000 control panel series is a very cost-effective matrix intercom solution, that provides the full functionality of Riedel’s digital matrix intercom panels at an unbeatable entry-price level.

The Connect IPx2 is the latest addition to Riedel’s comprehensive Voice-over-IP product range. It is the small brother of the Riedel Connect IPx8 panel interface and is designed to connect up to two Artist control panels to the matrix via IP based networks. The latest 5.92 update of the Director software provides several new features such as Panel DSP functionality, new IFB functions and an Alternative Listen option.
