Riedel RockNet 100 – the 3-in-1 solution for digital audionetworks

Riedel Communications, one of the leading providers for network-solutions presents RockNet 100 at Prolight+Sound 2009. RockNet 100, the cost-efficient 3-in-1 interface for digital audio networks, combines three major advantages within one module.

RockNet 100 incorporates three different devices in one single unit: 16 line/microphone-inputs (with 48V phantom power) and 8 line-outputs offer a vast number of possible applications. The connection between devices is established via CAT-5. It transmits audio- and additional control data.
With 80 channels it is especially suited for smaller setups – for example as a digital multicore. The redundant ring topology provides maximum resilience. A connection failure between two devices does not affect the audio transmission or system integrity. The self-healing ring topology offers significant advantages in performance, consistency and flexibility. 99 RockNet devices can be linked together in a network.
RockNet 100 can be seamlessly integrated into existing RockNet 300 networks. It offers the same possibilities and ease of use like RockNet 300 modules, including remote control from any digital Yamaha mixing-console in combination with a RockNet expansion card.
The gain of the preamps can be adjusted in steps of 1 dB. The gain offers a range from -6 dB to 66 dB. The preamps are similar to the RockNet 300 preamps. An auto-mute circuit protects amplifiers and speakers when turning channels on or off.
RockNet 100 modules can be controlled via the frontpanel of each device, a Yamaha mixing console or the RockWorks software. RockWorks is available for Windows and Mac OS X. It allows easy configuration and remote control of the whole network via USB.
Concrete™ technology ensures a jitter-free operation of the audio network to meet highest demands in audio quality. The rugged steel enclousure are made for heavy duty road use and offer the distinct advantage of magnetic shielding.
